Where in Dubai
Dr. Subhash sees fracture and trauma patients for consultations and follow-up at Grand Infinity Medical Center in Al Muteena, Deira. The clinic is not an emergency department and does not take ambulance cases. If you need emergency care in Dubai, call 999 or go to the nearest hospital emergency department first. Once you are stable, you can book a visit to review the treatment and plan the recovery.
What is fracture and trauma care?
A fracture is a broken bone. A dislocation is when the ends of two bones at a joint are pushed out of place. Both can follow a fall, a sports injury, a road accident or a heavy blow. Some breaks are small cracks that heal in a cast or a splint. Others are displaced, which means the pieces have moved apart, and they may need an operation to put them back in line and hold them with plates, screws, nails or wires. Trauma care covers the whole path: the first treatment, the repair, and the weeks of healing and rehabilitation that follow.
Who it can help
- Pain, swelling or bruising after a fall or blow, especially if you cannot put weight on the limb.
- A limb or joint that looks bent, out of shape or out of place.
- A fracture already treated in an emergency department that now needs a specialist follow-up.
- A break that is healing slowly, has healed in a poor position, or is still painful months later.
- Injuries to several parts of the body after a road traffic accident.
How Dr. Subhash approaches it
Trauma is one of the main interests Dr. Subhash lists on his CV, alongside joint replacement and arthroscopy. His training and work cover road traffic injuries, fractures, dislocations and polytrauma, which means several serious injuries at once. He also lists pelvic and acetabular fracture surgery, and the treatment of bones that have not healed or have healed out of line. He explains whether your fracture can heal in a cast or needs an operation, and why.
What to expect
Emergency care first
A serious injury is first assessed and stabilised in a hospital emergency department. Bring any X-rays, scans and discharge notes to the clinic.
Specialist review
He examines the injury, reviews the images and checks the skin, nerves and blood supply around the break.
Choosing treatment
He explains whether a cast, a brace or surgery suits the fracture, the risks of each, and how long healing usually takes.
Surgery, if needed
If an operation is planned, he tells you which hospital it will be in and what your insurance needs before a date is set.
Follow-up X-rays
Repeat X-rays at planned visits show how the bone is healing and when you can put more weight on it.
Recovery, in general terms
Every patient is different. These are typical milestones, not a promise; your own plan comes from your consultation.
- Most broken bones take about six to twelve weeks to knit. Smokers, older adults and people with diabetes often heal more slowly.
- A sling, cast, brace or crutches protect the bone in the early weeks.
- Physiotherapy usually starts once the bone is stable, to bring back movement and strength.
- Full strength and confidence can take several months, especially after a leg fracture.

Questions patients ask
Should I go to the clinic or an emergency department after an accident in Dubai?
Go to an emergency department, or call 999, for any serious injury, a deformed limb, a wound over a break, or an injury after a road accident. Book the clinic for follow-up once you have been assessed.
How do I know if a bone is broken or just bruised?
You often cannot tell without an X-ray. Severe pain, swelling, a change in shape, or being unable to move or bear weight all point to a possible fracture. If in doubt, get it checked the same day.
Does every fracture need surgery?
No. Many fractures heal well in a cast, splint or brace. Surgery is usually advised when the pieces have moved apart, the break enters a joint, or the bone would not stay in line without fixing.
Will the plates and screws have to come out?
Usually not. Most metalwork stays in for life without trouble. It may be removed later if it causes pain or irritation, and this is discussed case by case. Removal is a separate, usually smaller, operation.
I was treated in an emergency department. Can I have my follow-up with Dr. Subhash?
Yes, you can book a consultation. Bring your discharge letter, X-rays and any scan reports or discs, so he can see exactly what was found and done, and plan the next steps with you.
